THE TECH SPECS
ABOUT THE BUILD
The Dark Trooper was built to exceed expectations and showcase our expertise in custom loops and overclocking. We designed it with performance in mind, using the highest-end components that could fit into the case. We paired a rare ASRock motherboard with a factory 5950X processor, which had the "golden" chip, meaning it was tested to be the best performing processor of its model and remained stable. The case and graphics card were acquired through a trade with the same person. We also used an aquarium chiller with quick disconnect lines to attach to the PC's soft tubing water line, which helped bring temperatures down. In addition, we used the "Ice Bucket", where a costco storage bin was filled wiith ice, salt, and some whater with a pond motor to keep flow in the bucket to further reduce temperatures. We used the Time Spy Benchmark, temporarily reaching #7 in rankings. To further test the system, we ran OCCT at full usage across every component, and the temperatures reached a maximum of -7°C.
